 Compare Karlstad Foundation - Joint organization of the ICT industry in the Region of Värmland, Sweden.
Compare developes the ICT-business and skills in the region. Consists of approximately 100 companies; from large international groups to small family businesses. The Companies in Compare offers a broad range of competence, from products and software to usability reserach and telecom consulting.

 Compare Karlstad, Sweden
In the year 2000 Compare foundation Karlstad was formed as a result of an initiative undertaken by seven IT companies in the Karlstad region. The name Compare stands for Competence Area and today the cluster represents about 80% of the IT companies in the region.
The number of member companies is close to 100. The majority of them are located in Karlstad within walking distance from each other. Together they employ about 2500 people. They range from large international groups to small family-run businesses. Their know-how stretches from product development to usability research and telecom consulting. This broad range provides high competence and smart solutions for customers.
The purpose of Compare is to create growth in the IT field, more business and more companies in Karlstad. The scope of work is within four areas; - business development - entrepreneurship - research and education - membership service
During the seven years since Compare was formed a number of projects have been carried out, often together with some member companies. Karlstad International TIME school for instance, which is a kind of elite school for youngsters interested in information technology. In the area of arena development Compare has taken a lead and produced several concepts which have met appreciation all over the country.
